The BioVind Base Station is a portable, field-deployable molecular detection instrument that enables on-site identification of microorganisms associated with microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC), biofouling, and water-related integrity risks in oil and gas and utility infrastructure.
Designed for use directly at the sampling location, the system delivers DNA-based results in under 30 minutes without the need for laboratory equipment or microbiology expertise. Operators can move from sample collection to actionable data during a single site visit, eliminating the delays, shipping requirements, and interpretation challenges of traditional lab testing.
The Base Station operates with single-use BioVind Assay Cartridges containing pre-configured, lyophilized assays. The user adds the collected sample to the cartridge, inserts it into the instrument, and the automated amplification process runs while the real-time signal progression is displayed on screen. Results are presented clearly and can be recorded for reporting, trending, and compliance documentation.
